The challenge
A decade of growth left the company with aging on-premise servers, nightly batch jobs, and five operating companies reporting in five different ways. Operations leaders started each day with yesterday's numbers and reconciled them in spreadsheets.
Outages during peak periods were becoming a commercial risk, and every new integration or report took weeks of IT effort.
Our approach
- Assessed the application estate and sequenced migration by business risk — transactional systems first
- Migrated workloads to a cloud landing zone with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and centralized observability
- Built a unified data platform ingesting TMS, WMS, telematics, and finance data in near-real time
- Delivered a control-tower layer: live dashboards, exception alerts, and ETA predictions
- Trained the client's IT team to own the platform through paired delivery
The solution
The new platform standardized how the five operating companies define and report operational events, which mattered more than any single dashboard: for the first time, a delayed shipment meant the same thing everywhere.
Operations now watches a live control tower — shipments, dock capacity, exceptions, and predicted delays — and finance pulls daily P&L signals from the same governed data instead of month-end extracts.
