Representative engagements illustrating INFIQON's delivery approach. Client names are withheld; figures illustrate the outcomes these solution patterns are engineered to achieve.

The challenge

The company's shared-services center received supplier invoices in more than 30 formats and 9 languages — PDFs, scans, portal downloads, and paper. Every invoice was keyed manually into the ERP, matched against POs by hand, and chased through email approvals.

The result: a 6-day average cycle time, frequent early-payment discounts missed, duplicate payments slipping through, and a team spending most of its time on data entry instead of exceptions and supplier relationships.

Our approach

  • Two-week discovery across the invoice lifecycle: formats, exception categories, ERP touchpoints, and control requirements
  • AI document-intelligence pipeline trained on the client's own invoice corpus, with per-field confidence scoring
  • Human-in-the-loop review queue — only low-confidence fields and flagged exceptions reach a person
  • Orchestrated PO matching, tolerance checks, and posting into the ERP, with a full audit trail
  • Country-by-country rollout, starting with the two highest-volume entities

The solution

The platform ingests invoices from email, supplier portals, and scans, classifies them, and extracts header and line-item data with AI OCR tuned per document family. Clean invoices are matched to POs and posted automatically; anything ambiguous is routed to a reviewer with the original document and extracted fields side by side.

Because every decision is logged with confidence scores and reviewer actions, the finance controller gained a live view of throughput, exception causes, and supplier data quality — turning a black-box backlog into a managed pipeline.
